শোন্ মা আমিনা, রেখে দে রে কাজ ত্বরা করি মাঠে চল,
এল মেঘনায় জোয়ারের বেলা এখনি নামিবে ঢল।
নদীর কিনার ঘন ঘাসে ভরা
মাঠ থেকে গরু নিয়ে আয় ত্বরা
করিস না দেরি- আসিয়া পড়িবে সহসা অথই জল
মাঠ থেকে গরু নিয়ে আয় ত্বরা মেঘনায় নামে ঢল।
এখনো যে মেয়ে আসে নাই ফিরে- দুপুর যে বয়ে যায়।
ভরা জোয়ারের মেঘনার জল কূলে কূলে উছলায়।
নদীর কিনার জলে একাকার,
যেদিকে তাকাই অথই পাথার,
দেখতো গোহালে গরুগুলি রেখে গিয়েছে কি ও পাড়ায়?
এখনো ফিরিয়া আসে নাই সে কি? দুপুর যে বয়ে যায়।
ভরবেলা গেলো, ভাটা পড়ে আসে, আঁধার জমিছে আসি,
এখনো তবুও এলো না ফিরিয়া আমিনা সর্বনাশী।
দেখ্ দেখ্ দূরে মাঝ-দরিয়ায়,
কাল চুল যেন ঐ দেখা যায়-
কাহার শাড়ির আঁচল-আভাস সহসা উঠিছে ভাসি?
আমিনারে মোর নিল কি টানিয়া মেঘনা সর্বনাশী।

খুব ভাল লাগার একটি কবিতা,কোন ক্লাসে পড়েছিলাম মনে পড়ছে না।

এ কবিতা খুঁজে পাই উপকূলীয় মানুষের জীবন যাত্ৰা।
নদী যেমনি দেয় আবার তেমন নেই।
